Don’t lower your cholesterol level TOO much. It may impair your cognitive functions

About 25% of the body’s cholesterol is found in the brain. Cholesterol is an essential component of the membranes and plays an important role in the transmission of neurotransmitters. Lack of cholesterol can cause communication problems between brain cells, resulting in damage to the cognition and memory.
Keep in mind that maintaining the balance between LDL (bad cholesterol) and HDL (good cholesterol) is more important than just lowering your cholesterol level.
