Q. I often hear of two main types of cholesterol.
What is the good and bad cholesterol?

A. You do hear of exactly that, the good and the bad cholesterol and what they are referring to here is LDL, low density lipoprotein and HDL, High Density lipoprotein. The LDL is commonly referred to as the bad cholesterol. It carries cholesterol that the body makes, from the liver, through the blood vessels and to the other cells of the body. On the other hand, HDL is considered the good cholesterol as it helps to carry and
clear the excess LDL cholesterol away from the arteries and back to the liver where it canbe eliminated.

Q. How does RAYDEL Policosanol10 actually work?

A. In laboratory studies, RAYDEL Policosanol10 has been seen to decrease the production of
cholesterol in the liver cells. This is different from some other products which often work
by blocking cholesterol absorption. Theseproducts mainly work on the cholesterol we get
from our diet and not on the cholesterol that isproduced in our body, the major source of our cholesterol.
